It’s October, and Netflix has released some fantastic content, new and old, to keep viewers busy for the Halloween horror viewing season. If outright horror isn’t your thing, you can always turn to mystery thrillers to give your heart a jump. One great movie in this genre is the 2007 film Zodiac. Viewers are curious to know if this is available on Netflix.
Zodiac is directed by David Fincher and written by James Vanderbilt. The film is based on a 1986 novel of the same title by Robert Graysmith. Fincher, Vanderbilt and producer Bradley J. Fischer conducted their own investigation and research into the Zodiac killer for the production of this film.
The film focuses on the serial murder known as the Zodiac Killer and the manhunt for his capture. He terrorized the San Francisco Bay area in the late 60s and early 70s, and it would become the most infamous unsolved murder sprees in US history.
Recently, a group revealed they believe they found the Zodiac killer, according to CNN.
We have good news for fans of mystery thrillers; you can add Zodiac to your Netflix queue. The film was released on the streamer on Oct. 1, 2021.
The cast is outstanding and includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Edwards, Brian Cox, Elias Koteas, Donal Logue, John Carroll Lynch, Dermot Mulroney and Chloë Sevigny.
The Zodiac Killer sends investigators and reporters cryptic messages, cyphers, and menacing phone calls taunting them but never giving too much away. He issues threats to kill more people if his letters aren’t published for the public to see and leaves no clues at the murder scenes. The two investigators and two reporters become obsessed with the Zodiac Killer and make it their mission to discover his identity.
