Are you a “Mad Men” fan? If so, there’s a good chance that you adore Jared Harris, a.k.a. “Lane Price.” To be certain, Kaiser is the biggest fan of Don Draper & Co., but I consider myself to be a moderate devotee since I wait awhile and watch every episode once it hits Netflix … which generally means that I watch each given season weeks prior to it’s successor hitting AMC airwaves. Of course, that means that I’m also privy to Twitter spoilers, but I’m afraid that’s just part of the internet existence.
Let’s get back to Jared Harris, who made it through most of Season 5 without too much trouble, but then it all went very badly very quickly. In his personal life, however, Jared is striking a seemily perfect balance, for he’s just gotten engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Allegra Riggio. Miss Allegra already posted a picture of her heart-shaped ring to her Allegratastic Twitter (and Vine) page, but here are the details:
His character Lane Pryce may have met a sad fate on last season’s Mad Men, but life is good for Jared Harris.
That’s because E! News has learned the 51-year-old actor is engaged to longtime girlfriend Allegra Riggio!
A source tells us Harris got down on one knee Sunday on the beach in Malibu at sunset and proposed to the TV host and lighting designer. He presented her with a heart-shaped diamond ring with a mounting in the shape of an “H” for Harris.
And last night at Bar Lubitsch for Allegra’s 38th birthday, the couple surprised a roomful of about 75 guests by announcing the good news, which Riggio herself later confirmed on Twitter.
“We’re engaged! #TeamHarris” she tweeted.
The veteran actor met his bride-to-be at a comedy show three-and-a-half years ago, and the duo have been together ever since.
Harris, who is the son of late British acting legend Richard Harris, most recently appeared on the big screen playing Ulysses S. Grant in Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln. He is next set to star in the action-adventure fantasy, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, hitting theaters in August.

Congratulations to Jared and Allegra! I feel awful for feeling the need to point out that her name reminds me of an allergy-medication commercial, but that’s to be expected. She must get that A LOT. However, she’s very cute, and she obviously makes Jared very happy. Beyond the obvious, this Allegra chick really has a signature “pose,” doesn’t she? I’m tempted to label it a “Pataky,” but it’s not quite that triumphant of a posture.
