Mark Gil - Trivia, Family, Bio

Remembered for his roles in such late 20th-century and early 21st-century Filipino films as Magnifico, Seduction, and Lastikman: Unang Banat, this screen actor also appeared in episodes of Kung Fu Kids, The Legal Wife, and numerous other television series.

Before Fame

Early in his career, he acted in an episode of the ABS-CBN series Mula sa Puso.

Trivia

Sadly, he died of liver cancer in his early fifties.

Family Life

He was born into a family of entertainers: his parents, Rosemarie Gil and Eddie Mesa, were both actors, as were his siblings Cherie and Michael. Several of his children, including Gabby Eigenmann (the son of performer Irene Celebre) and Sid Lucero (the son of Bing Pimentel), also had prominent entertainment careers.
