Rise of the Pink Ladies streaming on Netflix?

All hail the Pink Ladies! The infamous girl gang we first meet in the 1978 movie Grease are definitely one of the standouts from the theatrical story. Well, it turns out they weren’t the first ones. Another foursome originated the group, and that’s who we meet in Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies! Is the show streaming on Netflix?

The prequel series follows Jane, Olivia, Cynthia, and Nancy – four outcasts at Rydell High who are fed up for their own reasons. But they come together to make a change at their school, and they find that answer with some pink jackets! In a time before the T-Birds were cool and the Pink Ladies ruled the school, this is going to be the group’s origin story as they make changes that carry on.

The musical drama takes place four years before the first movie, set in 1954. So where can you watch the show? Is it on Netflix? We’ve got the answer for you below!

Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies really is a series you don’t want to miss! But unfortunately, the production is not streaming on Netflix because it’s not a Netflix Original. The company behind the prequel is Paramount+, and so you’ll need to be subscribed to the streamer to watch the musical drama. You can do so for $4.99/month with ads or go for the no ad-tier at $9.99/month.

The 10-episode season premieres Thursday, April 6, 2023 with the first two episodes on Paramount+. Those will be followed by one new installment weekly Thursdays on the streaming service. The finale is set for June 1, 2023.

And if you’re really in a Grease mood, why not go ahead and rewatch (or watch for the first time!) the two original films? Though the John Travolta and Olivia Newton-led movie was produced by Paramount Pictures, for some reason it’s not streaming on its platform. But there are multiple on-demand options including Prime Video, Apple TV, and Vudu. However, sequel film Grease 2 is streaming on Paramount+.
