Joe Biden has spoken out about the ‘theory that he’s in cahoots with Taylor Swift’ in the upcoming 2024 election during his appearance with Seth Meyers.
Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce have been wrapped up in online conspiracies, believed by 18% of Americans, that they are part of ‘a plan’ to help the Democrats win the election, so of course, Meyers had to go to the source himself. Joe Biden has joked about the ‘conspiracies’ online after the Chiefs won the Super Bowl, so he’s not afraid to have a laugh. Here’s what he had to say…
Joe Biden jokes Taylor Swift endorsement is ‘classified’
“I have you on the hot spot here,” Meyers said to the POTUS. “Can you confirm or deny that there is an active conspiracy between you and Miss Swift?”
“Where are you getting this information?” the President replied which led to laughter in the audience. “It’s classified,” he continued with a smile on his face, as the host asked, “What does that mean?!”
Biden then went on to announce that the music icon endorsed him in 2020. “You think it might come around again?” Seth questioned.
“I told you, it’s classified,” the President joked, as once again, the crowd erupted into laughter.
The clip from the 10th-anniversary show is now going viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, and of course, Swifties had to have their say on her being the hot topic of the President’s interview.
“Taylor Is so powerful they’re even asking presidents about her now,” wrote one.
“She’s so powerful that even the president wants her to notice him,” another agreed.
The star is currently on her worldwide Eras Tour
Although Taylor is the topic of conversation everywhere around the US, she’s currently on her worldwide record-breaking Eras Tour and just finished up in Sydney.
Whilst she was performing Down Under, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce flew over to support his partner, as they were spotted at a Sydney zoo.
She’ll be heading to Singapore on Saturday, where she has six dates planned. After that, the Love Story singer will have a two-month break from performing, before kicking off her European leg in Paris.
