Set during World War I in France, Women at War is an emotional new period drama following four women whose lives intersect in intriguing ways while they remain at home with the men abroad in the war.
Among the characters featured in the show are a Parisian prostitute named Marguerite, a nurse named Suzanne, a nun named Agnes, and Caroline, a young woman who becomes the head of her family’s factory. If you enjoyed the other French Netflix miniseries, Bonfire of Destiny, then Women at War should be on your list because they’re both women-led period pieces featuring a talented ensemble. Several actresses from Bonfire of Destiny also star in Women at War.
